Fashioning a National Identity

Top models, celebrities and world's top designers explore developing perceptions of the modern American woman at the Vouge annual Met Gala Fashion Event

Men maybe rule the world, but it is a well known fact that women control men…
This year the famous Met museum in New York decided to dedicate its central exhibition to American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.

The fabulous exhibition explores developing perceptions of the modern American woman from 1890 to 1940 and how they have affected the way American women are seen today. Though some people may think that the clothes does not reflect society changes, the new exhibition proves the contrary. Through the woman's dresses and other cloths, one can follow social, sexual and political revolutions.
